Please review and send us the form documents which will help with the preparation of your taxes.
If you would like to have a phone or zoom meeting to discuss anything related to your taxes either before or after they are completed or if you have any questions or concerns regarding this process please call the office at (289) 240-3250.
Once you have the information required it can be provided to us in the following ways:
Drop-offs can be made 24 hours a day in our secure drop box located outside the door on the North building - The drop box is big enough to hold large manila envelopes and documents without damage. It is bolted to the concrete and will be checked twice daily.If your package is too large to fit in the drop box please call during office hours (9 am – 6 pm M-F) and make arrangements to bring the package upstairs, place it on the floor outside the door and knock. We will grab it right away.
Secure email -we have a secure email portal (e-courier) that can be accessed from my website www.ds-cpa.ca by clicking on the blue lock. I encourage you to use this as opposed to sending confidential information through regular email.
Preparation of your tax return
To the best of our ability, your tax return will be worked on in the order it is received. Every effort will be made to complete your return as quickly as possible.
As usual, when the taxes are completed you will receive a phone call or email from one of us indicating they are ready for signature. The return options are as follows (please indicate on the attached sheet and return to us):
Courier by FedEx (an additional $15 charge will be added to your bill)
A secure email through e-courier of your tax return. This will include the signature page and invoice (the CRA is temporarily accepting digital signatures so an attached signature and scan back to my office is all we need). If you choose this option a full printed copy of your tax return will NOT be held in my office for pick up later. If you require copies of your tax slips at a later date I will provide them from the original copies I keep in-house or from the CRA website.
PAYMENT and EFILING
Payment in full and the signed authorization page both must be received before the return is E-filed. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this.
Payment for my services can be made by e-transfer, cheque or cash dropped in the drop box outside, or by credit card over the phone
Once the signed authorization page and payment have been received by my office we will EFILE the return immediately. Any refunds should be issued by CRA in due time. Any payments owing to CRA are due by April 30, 2023.
WORTH NOTING: We cannot guarantee completion by the deadline for taxes received by my office after April 7, 2023.
