Keep your organization compliant

Mission-driven organizations still have filing obligations. Registered charities must file an annual T3010 information return to keep their charitable status, and many non-profit organizations must file a T1044 information return. We prepare both accurately and on time*, so your organization stays compliant and your status is never at risk.

Questions, answered

What is the T3010?

The T3010 is the Registered Charity Information Return. Registered charities must file it annually, within six months of their fiscal year-end, to maintain their charitable registration.

What happens if a charity doesn't file its T3010?

Failing to file the T3010 can lead to revocation of charitable status — a serious consequence. Filing accurately and on time protects your registration. We help make sure it's done.

What is the T1044?

The T1044 is the Non-Profit Organization (NPO) Information Return. Certain NPOs must file it, generally based on income and asset thresholds. We confirm whether your organization is required to file.

Do non-profits pay income tax?

Many non-profit organizations are exempt from income tax on their activities, but exemption doesn't remove information-reporting obligations like the T1044. We keep you compliant on both.

Can you help with our books as well as the return?

Yes. Charities and NPOs must keep proper books and records, and we can help with bookkeeping and record-keeping alongside preparing your annual return.
